Eligibility Criteria for NTR Bharosa Pension

For various categories, the following are the eligibility criteria for receiving NTR Bharosa Pension.

Eligibility Criteria for Old Age

This pension is available to both men and women who are 65 years old or older and are poor.

Eligibility Criteria for Weavers Pension

Weavers must be 50 years old or older to qualify for the NTR Bharosa pension.

Eligibility Criteria for Widow Pension

If the widow is over the age of 18, she is eligible for the NTR Bharosa pension.

Eligibility Criteria for Disabled Pension

  • There is no age limit for disabled people.
  • The NTR Bharosa Pension is available to disabled people who have a minimum of 40% disability.

Eligibility Criteria for Toddy Tappers Pension

  • Toddy tappers aged 50 and up are eligible for the NTR Bharosa Pension.
  • Toddy Co-operative Societies (TCS) members or individual tappers participating in the Tree For Tappers (TFT) initiative who have reached the age of 50 as of 1.2.2009.

Eligibility Criteria for Anti Retroviral Therapy Pension

  • There is no upper age limit for the ART pension.
  • This pension is only available to people who have been on ART for at least 6 months.
  • If a person is already covered by any other type of Social Security pension program, they will receive an ART pension.

Eligibility Criteria  for Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown etiology Pension

The CKDU pension has no upper age limit. NTR Bharosa pension is available to patients undergoing continuous renal dialysis (even if they are already insured under any Social Security Pension system).

Selection of Pensioners

The basic criterion for pension eligibility is being below the poverty line (BPL). However, the government has chosen to look into the following factors for pension inclusion and exclusion.

Inclusion factors

Priority will be given to the individuals listed below.
  • ST households, particularly PVTG homes in agency areas
  • SC households
  • Practicing Artisans (Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Barbers, Washermen, Potters, Blacksmiths, Carpenters, Cobblers, Animal Herders, Village Artistes, and Other Backward Classes) and Other Backward Classes
  • Households with destitute or orphans
  • Households with disabilities
  • Households of manual scavengers

Exclusion factors:

  • Government employees (state and federal) and public-sector employees (public-sector enterprises)
  • Government retirees (including PSU, Central Govt, etc.)
  • Taxpayers have a high income (Know more about income tax filing)
  • Landowners with more than 2.5 acres of wetland and 5 acres of dryland, or more than 5 acres of both wet and dryland (except ST in scheduled areas in ITDAs)
  • Employees who are outsourced
  • Private salaried (monthly salary)
  • Car owners
  • Freedom Fighter pension holders

 Documents Required to apply for NTR Bharosa Pension

  • Photograph of the applicant
  • Aadhaar number
  • Savings bank account number
  • Proof of age
  • Photocopy of the husband's death certificate in the event of widows
  • Photocopy of registration in the Toddy Tappers Cooperative Society
  • Weavers must present a photocopy of their registration in a cooperative society of weavers.
  • Persons with disabilities must submit a SADAREM certificate. 40% of the total

NTR Bharosa Pension Application Process

These are the measures to take if you want to get an NTR Bharosa pension. Step 1: Apply through the Grama Panchayat with a duly completed application form and the above-mentioned papers. Step 2: Janmabhoomi committees will review all of the applicant's details after receiving the application from the Grama Panchayat. Step 3: After the Janma Bhoomi committee has verified the qualified list, the MPDO or Municipal Commissioner would upload it to DRDA for sanction. Note: Janmabhoomi is a campaign that oversees and coordinates development efforts through Village Development Committees (VDCs), executes government welfare programs, and engages in initiatives like face-to-face interactions with people to solicit input. Rural All pensions in favor of qualified persons suggested by Janmabhoomi Committees are sanctioned by the MPDO. Urban In the case of all pensions, the Municipal Commissioner is the sanctioning authority in favor of qualified citizens recommended by the Janmabhoomi Committees. The monies are released to the Panchayat Secretary or Bill Collector by the Mandal Parishad Development Officer or Municipal Commissioner. Step 4: Once the pension is approved, the pensioner will receive a Pensioner ID. The information about the pensioner will be available on the internet. Step 5: In the presence of the Sarpanch or Ward Member and members of the Gram Panchayat or Ward, the Panchayat Secretary or Bill Collector will issue pensions directly to the pensioners in the village or ward. Step 6: Tabs with biometric devices have been distributed to pension disbursement officers, allowing them to make monthly payments to beneficiaries. Step 7: Pensions shall be dispensed on the first of every month at a predetermined location and time frame determined by the committee, with bedridden and Leprosy pensioners receiving doorstep payment. Step 8: Pensioners are given a Rupay card, which allows them to withdraw money from a tiny ATM.
