FSSAI License- Basic, Central or State?
Whether the business firm is eligible for basic FSSAI License registration, Central license or State License is decided on the basis of the annual income of the business enterprise.
Upto 12 lakhs: | Basic license |
12-20 Lakhs: | Central License |
Above 20 Lakhs: | State License |
Registration For Basic License is applied by form A, whereas Registration for Central and State FSSAI license is applied by Form B.
Documents required for Basic FSSAI License:
- Latest Passport sized photograph of the applicant
- Identification proof (voter ID card or Aadhaar Card)
- PAN Card
- Address Proof- Telephone or Mobile Bill/ Electricity or Gas Bill)
- A Copy of Property papers (if owned)
- A Copy of Rent Agreement and Landlord’s NOC (if rented)
Documents required for Central or State FSSAI license
- List of Partners/Proprietor/Executive Members of Society with complete address and contact details.
- Latest Passport sized photograph of the applicant
- Identification proof (voter ID card or Aadhaar Card)
- PAN Card
- Address Proof- Telephone or Mobile Bill/ Electricity or Gas Bill)
- A Copy of Property papers (if owned)
- A Copy of Rent Agreement and Landlord’s NOC (if rented)
- Partnership Deed/ MOA/AOA of the firm
- A Copy of certificate obtained under Co-Op Act – 1861/Multi State Co-Op Act – 2002 in the case of Co-Operatives.
- NOC from manufacturer (in case of Distributor)
- Information of Source of raw material
- NOCs from Municipality or local body
- E-Code document issued by DGFT
- Form IX Nomination of persons by a company along with the board resolution
Documents for Manufacturing and Processing units:
- Blueprint/layout plan of the processing unit showing the dimensions in meters/square meters and operation-wise area allocation
- Name and List of Equipment and Machinery along with their number, installed capacity and horsepower used:
- List of food category desired to be manufactured.
- Authority letter with name and address of the person nominated by the manufacturer along with alternative responsible person indicating the powers vested with them via assisting the officers in inspections, the collection of samples, packing & dispatch.
- Analysis report (Chemical & Bacteriological) of water to be used as ingredient
t in food from a recognized/ public health laboratory to confirm the portability
Registration Process of FSSAI license Registration
1. Fill Form B: Food business operators can apply for new license or for renewing an existing one have to apply through Form B. Self attested declaration in the specified format should be attached along with the form
2.After Receiving the application, the authorities examines the application and carry out food inspection
3. If the Inspector gets satisfied with your business operations, he/she forwards the report and The FSSAI license is issued by the concerned authority. This may take up to 60 days.
If it takes more than 60 days, the applicant can commence without the license without waiting for further communication.
