Shipping Procedure for Export of Plastic and Plastic Articles

Shipping Procedure of exporting of Plastic or plastic articles can be pretty much same as exporting other goods like Machines or machinery appliances! First of all, you'll agree to the terms of payments and delivery with your buyer/importer who you're dealing with overseas. Then, for issuing Performa invoice you as an exporter will receive an export order for the plastic or plastic related goods/ Machinery or mechanical appliances you want to get exported. Then as a mode of payment, you may decide whether you want to get paid through DA or ADVANCE PAYMENT or DAP! Consider one of them as your term of payment in the contract.

Don't know what they are? Here read this…

1) DA as in ' DOCUMENTS AGAINST ACCEPTANCE' -  It is a mode of payment in which the exporter will send the shipping documents with BOE ( Bills of Exchange) to the buyer's bank and the buyer will have to sign those documents as a proof that he accepts that is going to actually pay for the goods that are being exported by the trader. 2) ADVANCE PAYMENT - The exporter might choose the advance payment as a mode of payment. This is normally done to ensure that the exporter gets paid. The exporter may put this in the terms of payment section in the contract to minimize the risk! Although the exporter may want to receive payment after the delivery is done. 3) DAP as in ' DOCUMENTS AGAINST PAYMENT' - In international trade, DAP is a mode of payment in which the buyer will receive the delivery of goods only once the exporter has received his payment by the buyer's bank! It’s that simple. After the decision made by the mode of payment, the exporter will decide the mode of Shipping Procedure! If it is an FCL (FULL CONTAINER LOAD), the shipper will gather all the goods to be exported (ONLY THE GOODS THAT ARE BEING SENT BY THE RESPECTIVE EXPORTER) in a single full container, whether it's hall full or even the quarter is full doesn't matter - the whole cargo containing only your shipment will be send. If it's an LCL (LESS CONTAINER LOAD), other goods that are being shipped for other buyers may come with your shipment. According to the purchased order, the documents required by the buyer will be sent by the exporter! A customs broker or the exporter himself may issue the clearance needed to export goods. Also, the exporter must know the HS code of all the Plastic related goods/ Machines or machinery appliances he is exporting! Furthermore, the exporter will send a test report on the analysis of a product providing information that its material is not at all hazardous for consumption. A certificate of permission from the Environment Department is also necessary to export or import of plastic or plastic related goods/ Machinery appliances or machines.
